ART 159: Special Topics in Photography, FILM 199: The Senior Thesis and FLM 196C: Senior Documentary
My project’s stylistic approach utilizes an autobiographical style through the use of archival footage, video, and voicemails. The short film is told from my point of view, understanding my uncle Sancho’s political involvement with the Brown Berets and Chicano Moratorium. My goal is to inspire viewers by preserving our shared history, asking them what a revolution could look like in the future and how it might be informed by the past.
