The final assignment for my production class was to shoot and edit a short nonfiction piece. The assignment stipulated that it be "a piece that addresses something about you. This can be: a self-portrait; an account of an event in your life; a memory of something." For my project, I created a personal documentary that explores my family through both cultural roots and shared tragedy. I should be note that it is available on vimeo, but due to the highly personal nature of the film, it requires the password "film 170b" to be entered before viewing.
