sixtypercentoff.com was built for the frugal shopper and displays the most discounted products from Amazon.com which are sixty percent off or more. This website uses an array of technologies which allow the user to search through the products and categories to find discounted products they might be interested in. The website also lets the user set up alerts of searches which informs when when a new product that matches their interests has become discounted enough to appear in the search results.
The website grabs products from Amazon's website, checks them against the API using REST requests and then updates the products daily by checking the product values against the pages through PHP web crawling techniques. sixtypercentoff.com is dynamic and fully automated using PHP and MySQL with some JavaScript and the design used HTML with CSS.
