I will perform works by Franz Schubert, Benjamin Britten, Isabelle Aboulker, and Johann Sebastian Bach with a pianist and a violinist. My goal is to artistically interpret every work for musical and visual presentation. I intend to bring out the individual character of every piece. The foreign languages should be intelligible to a native speaker and thoroughly convey the texts' meaning.
I will be premiering one of the Isabelle Aboulker pieces and the other two songs are not part of the standard repertoire. I contacted the composer with a request to sing her music and she sent me several songs and one that had not yet been published. Two of the songs have never been recorded. This lack of resources gave me freedom and encouraged me to really create my own interpretation and understanding of the music and texts.
